What Happens During a Dental Veneer Appointment?
Your Northridge dentist will start by numbing each tooth that will receive a veneer. Then, they’ll
use a laser or handpiece to remove a thin layer of enamel from the outer surface of your front
teeth. They’ll smooth the margins to ensure a proper fit. An impression of the veneer preparations
is taken, and porcelain veneers are fabricated using a CAD/CAM system. Once the veneer fabrication
is complete, we’ll bond the porcelain veneers to your teeth.
Is Getting Porcelain Veneers Painful?
No. We’ll numb the teeth to ensure your comfort. You might experience tooth sensitivity after the
numbness wears off (primarily to cold foods and beverages), but this should dissipate within a few
days.
What If I Have Dental Anxiety or Fear?
We are committed to your comfort. Therefore, your Northridge cosmetic dentist offers several dental sedation options. Talk to your dentist about
which option will fit your needs best.
